It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Richardson Haverty of Norfolk, Virginia, who passed away on September 29, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Malachi Richardson and Mary Richardson; and her sons, Douglas N. Haverty and William J. Haverty. She is survived by : her husband Harry N. Haverty; her daughter Rosemary L. Cornell; her daughter-in-law Mary L. Paynter; her grandson Tyler Richardson Haverty (Sheena); and her great grandchildren, Charlotte and Cora. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Azalea Baptist Church to feed the hungry children.
