She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Arthur Long and Katherine Barnes Long of Norfolk, VA; her husband Charles Dallas Nixon Sr. of Virginia Beach, VA; and her brothers, Harry Arthur Long Jr. and Nicholas Robert Long.

She is survived by: her son Charles Dallas Nixon Jr. (Zoya); and her granddaughters, Veronica and Juliana.
