She was predeceased by: her parents, Malcolm L. Avery Sr. and Evelyn Shambry Avery. She is survived by: her daughter Kimberly Maxine Sawyer; and her siblings, Evelyn Patricia Owens, Audrey Yvonne Cromwell, Malcolm L. Avery, Jr., Ashley D. Avery, Sr. and Elnora Lee Boyd. She is also survived by relatives, friends, and brothers and sisters.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Metropolitan Funeral Service (7246 Granby St, Norfolk, VA 23505). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
