He is survived by : his wife Laura McGrew Farthing; his children, Emily Farthing Carmichael of Seattle, Sara Farthing Cartier of Richmond, Andrew Philip Farthing (Natalie) and Elizabeth Farthing Kiernan (Logan) of Virginia Beach; and his grandchildren, Mac Camden Cartier of Richmond, Eli Northcott Farthing, Emery Jane Farthing, Easton Wayne Farthing, Jacob Doyle Kiernan, Bowen Philip Kiernan, Connor Lewis Kiernan and Lee Walker Kiernan of Virginia Beach.
