He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Bertha Mosely and William McKinnley Hilliard; his wife Mildred Hilliard; his brother Maurice Hilliard (Earlene); his children, Margie Godfrey, Angela Mattison (Booker), Laverne Lambers (Tracy), Deidre Byam (Jerome), Brian Brinkley (Ashanti), Maurisa Hilliard and David Hilliard; and his niece Yolanda Lucas (Jason). He was also cherished by 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
