We bid farewell to Lila Gaye Minton of Pennington Gap, Virginia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 24, 2025 at the age of 88. Lila Gaye touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Evans and Maxie Evans; her husband Curt; her siblings, Lonnie Evans, Randall Evans, Jack Evans, Don Evans, Jerry Evans and Sue Reed; and her nephew Jimmy Evans.
She is survived by: her sons, Tim Minton (Pam) and Terry Minton (Connie) of Chilhowie; her grandchildren, Jared Minton of Chilhowie, Amber Garrison (Trey) and Heather Wyatt (Billie) of Chilhowie; her great grandchildren, Liam, Addyson, Braelyn, Aubree Minton, Sadie, Boone, Josie Garrison, Uriah and Ezra Wyatt; her sisters, Faye Roop (Don) of Jonesville and Judy Ramey (Doyle) of High Point, NC; and her nephews, Michael Evans and Jesse Evans. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 12:50 PM at the Powell Valley Cemetery. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests for donations to be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in her memory.
