With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carol Ann Burton (Petersburg, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 22, 2024 at the age of 68. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Carol Ann Burton to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Robert Burton and Ruth Burton; her siblings, Robert "Bobby" Burton, Bessie "Bootsie" LaPrade and Evelyn Cogbill; and her nephews, Thomas Davis, Reginald "Duke" Davis and Michael Wells.

She is survived by : her husband Robert "Darren" Gibbs; her son Merrill "Monk" Wells, III (Jessie); and her sister Linda Wells (Mike).

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 7th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Blandford Cemetery (319 S Crater Rd, Petersburg, VA 23803).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her honor to Dinwiddie County Animal Shelter, 10903 Wheelers Pond Road, Dinwiddie, VA 23841.
