He was predeceased by : his parents, Joe Holman and Addie Lamb Holman; the mother of his children Ora Vaughan Holman; his daughters, Cynthia, Valerie and Donna; and his siblings, John Trotter, Robert, Roy, Walter'Ray', Ralph Holman, Joann Holman and Dorothy Woodard.
He is survived by : his wife Elder Ruth J. Holman; his children, Vincent Holman (Constance), Phillip A. James, Jr. (Marion Dukes), Staci Holman and A. Michelle Smith; his sister Irene Holman; his aunt Julia McGill; his siblings-in-law, Oliver Johnson, Jr., Emmett Johnson, Reuben Johnson, Horace Johnson (Faye), Gladys Hall (James), Rosa Johnson, Cynthia Harris (David), Shella Jones, Marcia Harris, Alice Johnson and Florence Shackleford; his nephew Robert Woodard (Carolena); and his caregiver Carolyn Turek. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, fourteen great grand children.
