She was predeceased by : her brother Reuben Lemuel Gilliam, II; and her parents, Patrice II and Reuben, II. She is survived by : her nieces, Toni Brittany Gilliam and Taylor Lindsay Gilliam. She is also survived by several cousins and many devoted friends and extended family.

Patrice's civic affiliations included the Historic Hopewell Foundation and the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation.
