He is survived by: his wife Odessa Shoemaker (Doyle); his children, Crystal Shoemaker of Port Republic, Terry Lynn Shoemaker (Carla) of Timberville, Ronnie Bennett (Linda) of Staunton, Steve Bennett of Staunton and Jeff Bennett (Marcia) of Elkton; and his siblings, Linda Whitesell (Harry) of Weyers Cave, Delos Shoemaker (Betty) of Pineville and Sid Shoemaker (Maureen) of Portsmouth. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
