She was predeceased by: her parents, Nona Walton (Shifflett) and Roy Walton; and her husband Robert Lee Powers. She is survived by: her children, Jenny Fletcher (Jerry) of Martinsburg, WV, Sheila Fletcher (Kevin) of Weyers Cave and Dwight Powers (Robin) of Midland, VA; and her siblings, Helen Hamilton of Manassas and David Walton (Linda) of Port Charlotte, FL. She is also survived by six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
