He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wynn and Gladys Wynn; and his sister Marchette Wynn. He is survived by: his wife Gwendolyn Wynn; his children, LaVoria Wynn Hooker (Freeman) and Carl, Jr.; and his siblings, Sylvia Porter (Leon), Cynthia Marshall (Harvey Ann Wynn), Mahalia Wynn-Kirby (Gerald), Keith Wynn (Betty), Gregory Wynn and Darris Wynn.
