He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Peggy Sawyer Leathers; his father Robert Joseph Leathers; his brother Aaron Leathers; his mother Carolice Leathers Etheridge; his son Carlton Dwight Leathers, Jr.; his siblings, Gina Leathers Potts (David) of Chesapeake, VA, Donald Leathers of Portsmouth and Byron Leathers of Portsmouth; his siblings' children, Ne'Corya Whitehurst of Chesapeake, VA and Avon Butler, Jr. of Las Vegas, NV; his sister-in-law Joan Sawyer Hodges (Malcom); and his adoptive children, Trinette of Bryan, DJ, Jah, Jaz, Yaz and London. He was also cherished by other nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
