He is survived by: his wife Cynthia A. Blanchard of Portsmouth; his daughters, Angela D. Dirden (David) and Tujuanna M. Johnson; his stepsons, Earnest R. "Junie" Blanchard, Michael V. Blanchard (Mellie) and Darryl M. Blanchard (Laura); and his sisters, Onella Nicholson (William) of Chesapeake, Jeanette Williams of Chesapeake and Sandra Blanchard-Sanders (Rickie) of Chesapeake. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
