She is survived by: her husband Jasper Short, Sr.; her son Jasper Short, Jr.; her daughter-in-law Chanda Short of Chesapeake, VA; her grandchildren, Jada "Baby Girl" Lambert (Ellis) of Denver and Jasper Short III of Reston, VA; and her close friend Gloria O'Neal. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
