He was predeceased by: his wife Carole Lee Benn; his parents, James Thomas Benn, Jr. and Anna Byrd White Benn; and his daughter-in-law Jean Benn. He is survived by: his children, Jim Benn (Rhonda), Jonathan Benn, Bonnie Fratter (Jon) and Ashley Benn (Daniel).
