Jean F. Wimbrough Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean F. Wimbrough (Portsmouth, Virginia), who passed away on June 7, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Futrell and Dorothy Futrell; her husband C. Thomas Wimbrough, Sr.; her siblings, Bobby Futrell and Katherine Westbrook; and her daughter-in-law Kathleen Spring Wimbrough.
She is survived by: her children, Connie W. Waterbury, Patti W. Fleming (Mark) and Carl T. Wimbrough Jr.; her sister Dottie Hodges (Willie); and her grandchildren, Tom Waterbury (Liz), Ben Waterbury (Abby), Samuel Wimbrough (Samantha), Kyle Wright (Janie) and Lauren Wimbrough. She is also survived by six great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel (5201 Portsmouth Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23701). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Oak Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Westhaven Baptist Church and/or a charity of your choice.
