We are sad to announce that on October 5, 2025, at the age of 58, Sharolyn Sue Potter of Portsmouth, Virginia, born in Hillsdale, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She is survived by: her parents, Tom Potter and Sharon Potter; her brothers, Tim Potter (Julie) and Mark Potter (Tammy); her daughter Jessee Spence; her son-in-law Kevin; her close friend Gwyn Preston; her grandchildren, Riley Worthington, Marilyn Spence, Cameron Harris, Khloe Harris, Lucas Hale, Willow Hale, Jayden Fields, Jacob Fields and Zoey Fields; Krystal Preston, Misty Hale and Rachel Preston.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Pinecrest Baptist Church (209 Felton Rd, Portsmouth, VA 23701). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to your local animal shelter in Sharolyn's memory- honoring her lifelong love for animals and giving back to the community she held dear.
