She is survived by: her husband Norman L. Alston; her children, Stephanie A. Cartwright, David Alston and Charles Alston; her grandchildren, Christopher and Kiandra; and her siblings, Claudia Harris (Erskin) of Jonesboro, GA, Carolyn Flowers of Portsmouth, VA. and Claude W. Flowers Jr. of Portsmouth, VA.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Viewing was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Metropolitan Funeral Service (7246 Granby St, Norfolk, VA 23505). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Third Baptist Church (461 Godwin St, Portsmouth, VA 23704).
