He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Shambley and Lucy Shambley; and his sister Mary Harper. He is survived by: his wife Agnes Shambley; his daughters, Wendy Shambley, Yvonne Johnson (Nate) and Denise Shambley; his grandchildren, Tahneshia Copeland (Elston), Demetrius Shambley, Dwayne Johnson (Randy), Darren Johnson, Daquan Shambley and Trashaun McCoy (Chad); his great grandchildren, Grayson and Ava Copeland; his sister Bernadine Rivera; his siblings-in-law, John Artybridge and Betty Jones (Linda Artybridge); and his friend Bobby Hooper (Pat). He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Metropolitan Funeral Service (5605 Portsmouth Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23701). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
