He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Dewey Looney and Della Mae Rash Looney; his siblings, Betty Sue Looney Monk, Mary Ellen Looney Pruett and Aaron Lee Looney; and his stepgranddaughter Adrianne Elizabeth Crabtree Wilcox.
He is survived by: his wife Irene "Sissy" Looney of Pounding Mill, VA.; his children, Heather LeeAnne Looney of Tazewell, VA, Lance Howard Looney of Tazewell, VA and Nathan Dewey Looney of Tazewell, VA; his siblings, Ashton Looney (Christina) of Tazewell, VA, Brenda Isley (Larry) of Roanoke, VA, Margaret Blevins of Stuart, VA, Arlene Matney (Randy) of Tazewell, VA and Regina Kiser of Tazewell, VA.; his grandchildren, Lakin Paige, Isabella Kaylynn, Lucas Howard, Evelyn Grace, Conner Lee and Tanner Cole; and his great grandchild Niko Xzavier Johnson.
