He is survived by : his close friend Jennifer Shorter; his sons, Chris Shorter of Pounding Mill, VA, Skyler Shorter of Pounding Mill, VA and Andrew Shorter of Bristol, TN; and his close friend Christopher M. Goss of Savannah, GA..
