She was predeceased by: her sons, Ashton "Danny" Mitchell III and Timothy Allen Mitchell; and her siblings, Virginia Allen Robertson and William Hiram Allen. She is survived by: her children, Paul Bruce Mitchell, Mary Catherine Mitchell Amos (Allen), Susan Bell Nottingham (George) and Anne Louise Maliff (John); her daughters-in-law, Linda Shepherd Mitchell, Katherine Moore Townsend and Susan Jervey Waller; and her brother Robert Bruce Allen (Annette). She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
