We are sad to announce that on April 6, 2024, at the age of 105, Essie Irene Wade Ratcliffe of Radford, Virginia, born in Floyd, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Charlie Lee Wade and Leona Harriet Dulaney Wade; her husband Rev. Paul E. Ratcliffe; and her siblings, Carrie Phillips, Ola Cox, Velma Reed, India Goad and Denver Wade.

She is survived by : her nephew Denton Reed of Dublin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mullins Funeral Home (120 W Main St, Radford, VA 24141). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the West View Cemetery.
