She is survived by : her parents, Stan Wilkerson and Lynn Wilkerson; her husband Kent Wietharn; her son Kas (Kent); her brother Mark; her sister-in-law Lisa; and her nieces, Morgan and Kate.

It is the family's wish that memorial donations may be made in Carey's name to the American Cancer Society.
