Elizabeth Hickerson Butterworth Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 11, 2024, at the age of 96, Elizabeth Hickerson Butterworth (Richmond, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Clyde V. Hickerson and Amy C. Hickerson; her son Dr. John F. Butterworth IV; and her sisters, Dr. Amy H. Dalton and Sue H. Jett.
She is survived by : her husband Dr. John "Jack" F. Butterworth III; her sister Louise H. Wiley; her daughters, Ann V. Butterworth and Elizabeth B. Stutts (James W. O. Warrington); her daughter-in-law Pamela R. Butterworth; her grandchildren, Kristin M. Yavorsky (Michael), Matthew S. Butterworth (Sophia), John F. Ockerman (Kate), Dr. Elizabeth O. Hubbard (Matthew), Calder S. Stutts and Jackson S. Stutts; and her great grandchildren, William J., Nicholas P. Yavorsky, Foster W., Elizabeth W. Ockerman, Finnian H. and Eddings L. Hubbard. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other close relatives in both her and her late husband.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 6th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Sanctuary.
