He is survived by : his wife Rosalind Z. Smith; his daughter Natascha A. Smith; and his siblings, Karen Harris, Barbara Smith and Larry Smith (Lilly). He is also survived by seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.

Viewing was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Scott's Funeral Home (115 E. Brookland Park Blvd 23222). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Scott's Chapel (116 E. Brookland Park Blvd., 23222).
