It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Geneva Marie Lunsford Olgers of Richmond, Virginia, who passed away on August 9, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Sam; her sons, Jerry Olgers and Jimmy Olgers; her granddaughter Amelia Sparrow; her great grandchild Scott Englehart; and her siblings, James Calvin "Short" Lunsford, Claude "Bud" Lunsford, Audrey Chumney and Frances Underwood.
She is survived by: her daughters, JoAnn Murdoch (Dean) of Richmond, Annie Sparrow (Jeff) of Richmond, Chris Olgers (Jerry) of Richmond and Joan Olgers (Jimmy) of Richmond; and her sister Ruby Wood. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Laurel Hill Global Methodist Church (1919 New Market Road, Henrico, VA 23231).
