She is survived by: her parents, Kakanja Zulu (George Nagel) and Dr. Mauta Faruq; her significant other Jai (JoAnn Green); her daughter Yamia Trollinger-White (John White, Jr.); her grandchildren, Ayanna Nadia Brooks, Cain Faruq Trollinger and John Willie White III; her siblings, Murad Faruq, Akera Farrow and Asha Bluette; her nieces and nephews, Reign Al'Murad Faruq and Fiya Faruq Page; and her friends, Christina Rivera Chapman, Nzinga West, Rasheed Mlambo, Kerline Astre, Ashe Phoenix and Uzomaka Obiocha.
