She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Galyen; her parents, Thomas Setzer and Mary "Nell" Setzer; and her siblings, Thomas Setzer, Paul Setzer, Lillian Turner and Judy Setzer.

She is survived by: her daughters, Rita Rice (George), Trisha Brooks (Ronald) and Deanna Garcia; her sister Janice Lyman; her niece Tracy Applewhite (Chris); and her grandchildren, Melissa Morgan (Brian), Shannon Rice (Jessie), Katie Caracciolo (Ryan), Sarah Roach (Chris) and Timmy Garcia (Karen). She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service (6500 Iron Bridge Rd, Richmond, VA 23234). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Dale Memorial Park (10201 Newbys Bridge Rd, Chesterfield, VA 23832).
