She was predeceased by : her brother Olney Hume Powers, Jr. of Roanoke. She is survived by : her husband James Baylor Blackford; her children, James Baylor Blackford, Jr. and Susan Blackford Hankins; her son-in-law Richard P. Hankins, Jr.; her grandson Richard P. Hankins III of Richmond; and her sister Elizabeth Powers Armitage of Lexington Park. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
