He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Charity Edwards Martin of Ridgeway, VA and Price C. Martin; and his brothers, Bobby D. Martin, Larry Martin (Pam) of Richmond, VA, Bishop Randy Martin (Daisy) of Martinsville, VA, Derrick Martin of Martinsville, VA and Terry Martin of Stuart, VA. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was born in Virginia on October 20, 1953, the son of Charity Edwards Martin and the late Price C. Martin.
