He is survived by: his wife Lillie Mae Stowe Lester; his children, Jody Lester of Eden, Lisa Joyce of Stoneville and Robin Thomas of Bayonne, NJ; his grandchildren, Chelsea Hingson (Will), Melany Joyce, Leanne Leffel (Bryson), Jordan Thomas, Laural Thomas, Anna Thomas and Jenna Evans-Kemp; and his siblings, Paul Lester of Eden, Douglas Lester of Eden, Jean Robertson of Eden, Sandra Harris of Stoneville and Joan Rigney of Stoneville.
