She was predeceased by : her parents, Walter Whorley and Vergie Whorley of Bassett, VA.; her former life partner Robert Sydnor McDaniel; her husband Cecil Lackey; her brother Dewey Whorley; and her stepdaughter Barbara McCormick.
She is survived by : her significant other James R McGuire; her son Ronnie McDaniel (Devan) of Raleigh; her stepchildren, J. B. McGuire (Carol), Mike McGuire (Karen) and Judy Wilson (Lawrence); her grandchildren, Angela Casciotta (Peter) of Cape Corol, Karen Dodson (Glen) of Ringgold, VA, Maggie McDaniel (Nick) and Kenny Cramer (Courtney) of Danville; her great grandchildren, Meghan, Anthony, Jennifer, Melissa, Moriah, Allison, Emily, Ben, Conner, Kate and Cutler; her great great grandchildren, Ryan, Kyndall and London; her caregivers, Kelly, Tracey, Judy, Toni, Gloria, Destiny, Shanda and Lisa; and her grandson-in-law Glen.
