He was predeceased by: his parents, Gossie Evans Gibson, Sr. and Lucille Motley Gibson; his wife Doris Christine Sowers Gibson; and his siblings, David Gibson and Barbara Fuquay.
He is survived by: his children, Duane Evans Gibson (Belinda) of Danville, VA and Christi Gibson Motley (Rodney) of Keeling, VA. He is also survived by four grandchildren & three great grandchildren.
