The memory of Marquetta Ann Lunceford of Rixeyville, Virginia, who passed away on June 12, 2025 at the age of 79, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hurley and Martha Belle Cook Hurley; and her former husband William J. Athey. She is survived by: her husband Edward "Buddy" Lunceford; her children, Rich Athey (Lisa), Laura Williams (Tommy), Patrick Athey and Cindy Lunceford; her grandchildren, Tony Burchett, William, Ryan, Brandon, Brook, Aaron, Brent and Christian Athey; and her great grandchildren, Mason Burchett and Maddox Athey.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Moser Funeral Home, Inc. (233 Broadview Ave, Warrenton, VA 20186). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Oakdale Church (9532 Auburn Rd, Nokesville, VA 20181).
