She was predeceased by: her parents, William Harris and Viola Harris; her sons, Johnny Keeling and Anthony Hodge; and her half-sister Geraldine.

She is survived by: her children, Melvin Keeling, Jackie Nichols (Grace), Mary Thornhill, Viola West Jackson, Joyce Daniels, Charlene Vaughn and Sandra Hodge; her friend Patricia Banks; her godchild Ms Amara Wingo; and also Iris Ferrell.
