She was predeceased by: her parents, William Estus Slater and Linnie Slater (Batton); her siblings, Jewell Blackwell (Slater), Essie Holmes (Slater) and Mac Slater; her nephew William Holmes (Billy); and her niece Patricia Anderson Holmes. She is also survived by great nieces, nephew, and several great-great nieces.
