She was predeceased by: her sister Dawn. She is survived by: her grandmother Failed Safari; her son Luke; and her parents, Joanna Keith of Salem and Arnold Boyd of Gloucester.
She went on to earn a master's degree in the program in creative writing at Columbia University, where she was awarded a fellowship and won the Heinfield Foundation Award for writing.
