We are sad to announce that on June 13, 2018, Doris Childress (Roanoke, Virginia), born in Buckingham, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent William Jackson Worley; her former husbands, John Gunther, Sr. and Levy Childress; her siblings, Benjamin Worley, Maynard Worley and Hattie Baird; and her stepson Jerry Childress.
She is survived by: her parent Augusta Banton Worley; her son John Marshall Gunther, Jr.; her wife Linda; her daughter Judy Gunther Childress (Don); her stepson Ted Childress (Bootsy); her granddaughter Doni Hyden; and her great grandchild Stephen Hyden. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, many great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous friends.
