She was predeceased by: her husband John Herman Carroll, Jr.; her parents, Fannie James Hall Dickey and Walter Highly Dickey; and her siblings, Betty Dickey Stuart and Walter Hall Dickey.
She is survived by: her sister Kathryn Dickey Lawrence of Christiansburg; her children, Suzanne Carroll Pace (Nolan), Sally Carroll Moorer (Glenn) of Marion and John Carroll II; her wife Nancy of Vinton; her grandchildren, Emily Pace O'Conner (Brian) of Knoxville, Andrew Pace of Charlotte, N. C., Ginny Moorer Shields (Ryan) of Marion and Matt Moorer (Ashley) of Marion; her sister-in-law Phyllis Shawn Dickey of Roanoke; and her nieces and nephews, Betty Lynn Lawrence Thompson, Larry Lawrence, Sandra Dickey Phillips, Diane Dickey Washenberger, Walter Dickey, Becky Dickey Austin, Randy Dickey, Phyllis Ann Dickey Norbo, Betty Jean Stuart Stout, Bobby Stuart, Sam Stuart and Alex Stuart.
