He is survived by: his wife Josephine Hall Hyre; his sons, Franklin Floyd Hyre III (Susan) and Douglas Hall Hyre (Dyron); and his grandchildren, Franklin F. Hyre IV of Washington, D. C., John D. Hyre of Atlanta, Meredith R. Hyre of Alexandria, Davis H. Hyre of Alexandria and Mathews S. Hyre of Alexandria.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
