He was predeceased by: his son Larry Cooley; and his siblings, Courtney Cooley, Howard Cooley, Mary Jane Colie, Margaret Hancock and Emma Jean Hildebrand.
He is survived by: his parents, James R. and Emma Kline Cooley; his spouse Charlotte Virginia Hovermale; his daughter Kimberly Circeo (Michael) of Roanoke; and his grandson Justin Circeo of Roanoke.
