Laura Kirk Zimmerman Obituary
We bid farewell to Laura Kirk Zimmerman of Roanoke, Virginia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 5, 2025 at the age of 74. Laura touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. T. Allen Kirk II and Evelyn Dodge Kirk; her brother T. Allen Kirk III; and her former husband Thomas L. Zimmerman. She is survived by: her son James Kirk (Kari Nicole Zimmerman); her granddaughter Iryssa Lesleigh Zimmerman; her siblings, Robert Zimmerman (Robin) and Fay Francisco; her siblings' children, William Russell, Caroline, Tammy and Dusty; and her sister Jill Wright.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Oakey's North Chapel (6732 Peters Creek Rd, Hollins, VA 24019).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Angels of Assisi, or The American Cancer Society, or please plant a tree in Laura's memory.
