He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce M. Greer; and his parents-in-law, Guy Marshall and Nora Marshall. He is survived by: his daughter Melanie Carter (Lee); his grandsons, Peyton Carter of Troutville and Preston Carter of Troutville; and his siblings, Roy Greer (Joyce) of Roanoke, Roger Greer (Diane) of Roanoke, Mildred Leonard (Don) of King, NC and Geraldine Moore of Roanoke. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
