With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirldon Ray Winegard Sr. (Roanoke, Virginia), who passed away on May 27, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry Shirldon Ray's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May Shirldon Ray's journey be filled with peace and serenity, as his find rest in the embrace of eternity.
He was predeceased by: his wife Edith Puffenbarger; his daughter Kimberly Winegard Hartley; and his sister Shirley Winegard Workman. He is survived by: his son Shirldon Winegard, Jr. (Tina); and his grandchildren, Julie, Amanda, Shirldon, III and Aaron. He is also survived by two great granddaughters and several nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Oakey's North Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
