Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Thelma Otey Jenkins of Roanoke, Virginia, who passed away at the age of 72, on April 26, 2024. She was predeceased by : her parents, James Whorley and Thelma Otey of Roanoke, Virginia.; her husband Edward Jenkins; her daughter Elease Otey; and her sisters, Catherine "Cat" Otey and Gloria Otey.

She is survived by : her children, June Otey (Brandi) and Edmund Jenkins; her grandchildren, Dalissa Otey (Trey), June Otey Jr. "Lil June", Sydney Taylor, Rashad Otey and Messiah Jenkins; her great grandchildren, Elease Otey, Da'Montrey Davis, Treniya Davis and Lelani Otey; her sisters, Patricia Williams and Constance Otey; and her niece Shantelle Day (Jermaine). She is also survived by loving cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Serenity (126 Gilmer Ave NW, Roanoke, VA 24016). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
