She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Saul and Berta Saul; her husband Paul Harold Abshire; her son David Paul Abshire; and her son-in-law Francesco Caltieri.
She is survived by: her daughter Phyllis; her son-in-law Gary Fagan of Crozet, VA; her grandchildren, Emily Reedy (Chris), Amanda Wilson (Bryan) and Lindsay Winston (Chris); and her sister-in-law Jackie Abshire. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Flora Funeral Service (665 S Main St, Rocky Mount, VA 24151). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at the Mountain View Memorial Park (5970 Grassy Hill Rd, Boones Mill, VA 24065).
