In loving memory of Barbara Prichard of Ruckersville, Virginia, who departed this world on October 3, 2025 at the age of 72. Barbara leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Weimer and Anna LaViolet Weimer (Garlitz); her siblings, Robert Stanley Weimer (Johanna Sarah) and Joann Marie Warnick (Weimer); and her brother-in-law Samuel James Baker.
She is survived by: her husband Larry Orr Prichard; her siblings, Michael Weimer (Darla Frances), Judith Ann Baker (Weimer) of Winchester, VA, Sharyn Maureen Grimm (Weimer) of Fuquay-Varina, NC and Janine Joy Weimer (Willis Ray Younkin) of Springs, PA; and her brother-in-law Donald "Jay" Prichard. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM at the Newman Funeral Homes (179 Miller St, Grantsville, MD 21536). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Divine Mercy Parish.
She was an animal advocate, mother to many dogs and cats and a generous person, donating to various causes, including the Humane Society, and she always arrived at family functions with gifts for family.
