He was predeceased by : his adoptive father Caleb Deane; and his parents, Rosa Herring and Robert Herring. He is survived by : his wife Dot Herring; his son Dale Herring (Sue); his grandchildren, Christian Herring (Amanda), Casey Jackson (Major) and Corey Herring; his son Anthony Herring; his granddaughter Megan O'Malley (Mike); his nephew David Wood; and his sisters-in-law, Jeannette Harlow and Joyce Morris.
